Social media platforms are important for establishing personal learning network. The YouTube is a video publishing platform that provides several teaching experiences or film sharing. When I was a child ,I really like to use YouTube whenever I am stuck in learning. YouTube mainly presents as video, and the dual processing of sound and image can make it easier for people to understand the content. Even if the pdf dose not have real-time tracking. People usually start discussions under the videos they are interested in. This is a good platform for communication and learning. Also, Pinterest is another social software I use. It is a sticker software. You can get artistic ideas and improve your aesthetics on it. Because I am very interested in photoshop and interior design, and I am also learning it. this software provides me with a lot of inspiration. Due to the digital algorithm, you can completely form your own unique browsing page after using it for a period of time.

Build Personal Learning Networking

In addition to YouTube, I am also using Bili Bili to build my personal learning network. Bili Bili has more creators’ videos than YouTube. And you can play favorited videos continuously. People can also send bullet comments to videos. This is a way to simulate comment. Compared with commenting under the video, bullet comments are more interesting and consistent with the video .I prefer video tutorials to educational blog posts. Receiving both audio and visual communication at the same time helps people remember the content more effectively. And most of the time, videos explain more comprehensively. People have cognitive and understanding biases. But videos help people better orient themselves.

Setting Professional Goals and Engaging with the Community

One of my professional goal is to stay updated with the latest research and developments in educational technology. And I will collect the videos that help me in my favorites. Sometimes I also post my own creations, just like the vlogs I submitted before and received some feedback for improvement. But compared to the knowledge output of blogs, videos are less communicative. It is more like a one-sided knowledge teaching output.

Privacy concerns are a significant factor in my online participation. I am cautions about sharing personal information and sensitive data. In general, the personal digital identity can be self-defined. You can modify the blog as you want and choose which kind of information you want to regard as the personal or professional identities. With the help of third-party platform transactions, visible range classification can better help you protect your privacy while you are suffering.

Aside from LinkedIn, all my digital identities are fake. I also don’t shop anywhere other than Amazon and official websites. I’ve experienced online scams, but it doesn’t affect my online participation.This experience was entirely caused by my own initiative to enter my account password on an unofficial website. As long as you are more careful and follow the rules of the Internet, it is not a terrible thing to post information on social media.
